The Unix Technical Owner focuses on continuous operations, project and change management of the Unix operating systems of several severs. The main goal is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. He/she works in close relationship with the Delivery Lead, who coordinates all the actions for the customer.

Responsibilities:

• To work on complex incidents

• Identify and solve problems

• All change management in the environments under his/her responsibility

• Define and execute work orders to implement changes

• Customer contact on the projects/tasks he/she is responsible for

• Provide consulting

• Implementation and system management

• Availability and capacity management

Requirements:

• Unix expert (Linux, HP-UX, Solaris High Performance Computing environment)

• SAN - understand the basics and symptoms apparent to the they go wrong essential

• Experience in Backup environments,

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience

• Excellent knowledge of the IT environment and its future trends

• At least 4 years practical experience in in customer and business support

• Practical experience in Project Management

• Analytical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

• Service oriented behaviour and communication to internal and external contacts

• Good communication skills (Communication to customers verbal and written is mandatory)

• Team player

• Language: fluent in English
