A person in this position is a technical contributor with strong knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware/software. Maintains technical expertise and may study selected vendor products and/obtain certifications which best meet company needs. May at times perform network security procedures and advise customers or internal management of potential risks associated with changes requests. Must be familiar and comfortable working in a multi-platform-operating environment and be adaptable to frequent change as we continuously strive to improve our customers’ experience.
Responsibilities:

Validation that the technical aspects of the request (topology, router, access transport, class of service, ISDN backup and other resiliency arrangements, etc.) are valid and supported by the EVPN Engineering & Troubleshooting Guide (ETG) and other technical documentation for the EVPN service

Verification of the content of the order against a signed customer contract

Ensuring that any items that are considered non-standard or Custom, have all associated documentation and approvals, or are removed from the request.

Verification that the order as present in the tooling matches the customer’s expectations for the service to be delivered.

Compiling and distributing supporting technical documentation to Provisioning teams, and recording results for order tracking and reporting.
Requirements:
-
Strong knowledge and expertise in local and wide area networking and communications.

Strong knowledge of the networking hardware and software currently utilized by the industry today.

Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution.

Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and to handle extreme workloads.

Ability to analyze complex production control problems and implement/recommend corrective action.

Ability to work in a team environment or independently with general guidelines.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.

Ability to write reports and routine business correspondence.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

knowledge of PC operations and software (Word processing and spreadsheet), good typing skills

Bachelor’s degree with course work in MIS/Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

At least two years of networking experience or CISCO CCNA/CCNP certifications or equivalent.
